Media: Pen and Ink

 I am very proud of this piece, I love the subject matter and the way it turned out. I chose to draw this because of my love for the beach and all of its aspects. The warm sand and the way the sun feels when it heats up your skin, but you're never too hot because at the beach there is always a great breeze that seems to keep it at the perfect temperature. I love the long night walks on the shore where the only sounds you hear are the waves crashing against the now cool sound and the distant laughter of the others enjoying it as much as you are. My favorite season may be fall but the  summer time beach trips will always have a soft spot in my heart for my favorite place to make memories.

        In this piece, I used liquid pen and ink to create my final project. At first, I sketched out four different ideas of the same subject matter and narrowed it down to the one I liked the most. Then after that, I practiced with the pen and ink, being it was my first time using such media. And then I sketched out my idea on my final piece and began adding the lines and ink and it slowly, but surely, built up to the final I have now.
